The plain wide-leg trouser with an elastic waist — the easy one.
A solid-colour wide-leg trouser with a covered elastic waist, which makes it the simplest trouser we stock. There is no stripe, no print and no fly — the whole design is the proportion: a mid-rise waist, a straight drop, and a hem wide enough to read as a column from hip to ankle.
A soft, fluid fabric with a smooth matte surface and enough weight to fall without clinging. It has a light stretch that keeps the trousers comfortable through a full day of sitting and standing, and it resists the horizontal creasing across the lap that lighter wovens develop. Because the colour is solid rather than patterned, the finish of the cloth is fully visible, which is why we chose a smooth weave over a textured one.
Mid to high rise with a covered elastic waist and a straight body that widens below the knee into a full hem. The rise sits on the hip bone rather than the natural waist on a 172 cm model, which keeps the proportion right for a tucked-in top. There is no pocket, deliberately: on a fluid fabric, a pocket bag shows through as a shadow and breaks the clean line down the leg.
Nearly every wide-leg trouser at this level has side pockets, and nearly every one of them shows: a pocket bag in a fluid fabric prints a rectangle on the outside of the thigh the moment you move. Removing them costs a feature and buys a genuinely clean silhouette. If you need somewhere for a phone, that is what a bag is for — and this trouser is designed to be the quiet half of an outfit anyway.
Model is 172 cm and wears S. The waist is elasticated and the chart gives the relaxed measurement with around twenty-four centimetres of stretch, so the hip measurement is what decides the fit. Choose the size where your hip lands in the middle of the range. If you want a tailored line, take the smaller size; for the loose drape in the photographs, take the larger.
No zip, no fly, no belt needed — and it stays flat when you sit.
No pockets, so nothing prints through the fabric on the thigh.
Falls straight from hip to ankle and resists lap creasing.

All measurements are taken flat with the garment laid out, in centimetres. Allow ±1.5 cm for hand-measured variation.
Off White with a black top and a flat leather shoe is the simplest outfit in the wardrobe.
Let the Pink version be the one colour in an otherwise neutral outfit.
Wear with a longline cardigan that finishes mid-thigh to keep the vertical line.
With a fine ribbed tank and leather sandals.
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out for the pale colourways, and hang to dry. The fabric falls straight again after hanging and does not need pressing; if you do iron, use a cool setting on the reverse and avoid the waistband channel. Wash Off White separately from the Pink to avoid any transfer while the dyes settle, and skip bleach entirely.
A pocket bag prints as a visible rectangle through fluid fabric once the trousers move. Removing them keeps the leg line clean. The trade-off is deliberate rather than an omission.
It is covered and faced inside, so it reads as a flat band under a tucked top rather than as gathered elastic.
By hip measurement. The elastic covers roughly twenty-four centimetres of waist range, so the hip measurement in the chart is what decides the fit.
